Community Planning and Early Engineering Montessori Learning Kit

Description
This Montessori community planning kit introduces early civil design through roads, routes, buildings, and spatial organization. Students create model communities while considering location, connection, access, and the function of different structures.

Parents can assign a planning task such as connecting homes to a school, creating a route to a community building, or arranging structures around a central area. Children can build the layout, explain why each building was placed where it was, trace travel routes, and revise the plan to solve access or space problems.

Children learn how roads and buildings work together as parts of a community system. They strengthen map readiness, directional reasoning, spatial planning, and the ability to explain design decisions.
