Description
This architecture studio uses KEVA building materials to connect structural design with the study of notable world monuments. Learners examine how recognizable buildings are shaped, supported, and organized, then represent those ideas through model construction.
A teacher can select a monument, discuss its location and defining architectural features, and have the student recreate or reinterpret the structure using the wooden pieces. Children can compare height, symmetry, repeated forms, and support systems, then explain which features were essential to making the model recognizable and stable.
Children learn to observe architecture as both a cultural artifact and an engineered structure. They practice translating two dimensional references into three dimensional models while applying geometry, spatial reasoning, comparison, and design vocabulary.
