Description
This fully online, self-paced course for students in grades 6–12 introduces the fundamentals of cello playing. Students learn proper posture, bowing and finger placement techniques, and how to read simple music. Guided practice helps students develop basic skills and play beginner melodies. (Semester 1 of 1)

By the end of the course, students will be able to perform beginner cello pieces and have a solid foundation for continued study.

Parent Note: Students may need guidance with proper posture, handling the bow, and tuning. Encouragement and supervision during practice sessions can help reinforce good technique.
