This fully online, self-paced Astronomy: Alien Worlds course explores the universe and the science of exoplanets. Students study the characteristics and atmospheres of planets beyond our solar system and examine the potential for extraterrestrial life. (Semester 1 of 2)

This course develops students’ understanding of astronomy concepts and critical thinking skills as they explore the possibilities of alien worlds.

This version of the course is designed for independent learning and is not teacher supported or graded. Parents have the ability to grade assignments, view answer keys, and provide feedback to their child.

We also offer this course as an Accredited Course that includes an official transcript and earned credit, or as an Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher, which adds a dedicated teacher who provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support to guide your student’s success.
