American Sign Language (ASL) I Curriculum | Middle School to High School

Sign It ASL is an online, self-paced American Sign Language course for middle-schoolers and high-schoolers taught by many well-known educators and entertainers from the ASL community. Sign It ASL will teach the vocabulary and grammar needed to have basic conversations.

ASL I includes 1-year access to the following lessons:

Lesson 1 - Introductions

Lesson 2 - Family

Lesson 3 - Feelings

Lesson 4 - Jobs

Lesson 5 - School

Lesson 6 - Neighbors

Lesson 7 - Food

Lesson 8 - Numbers & Time

Lesson 9 - Transportation

Lesson 10 - Animals

Lessons are divided by theme, and most lessons include:

• ASL stories and comedic sketches

• 60-100+ new vocabulary terms

• Fingerspelling, vocabulary, and sentence practice

• Receptive conversation practice

• Interviews with famous Deaf adults about culture and experiences

• Quizzes and exams with scoring and progress tracking

• ASL video dictionary for easy reference
